Health and Safety Policy

Jewel Fire Group Ltd. will provide a healthy and safe working environment for its employees and for other persons affected by the company’s activities.

Jewel Fire Group Ltd. will ensure that:

  • Staff are aware that they have the right to refuse to undertake tasks, which they believe would cause harm to themselves or others; without the fear of being disciplined.
  • Staff are aware that they should not undertake tasks for which they are not authorised to carry out.
  • Effective communications, on matters affecting health and safety, are maintained via regular meetings and briefings.
  • Fire safety and security arrangements are in place and maintained.
  • Hazards and the risks associated with such hazards are adequately assessed; and suitable control measures implemented.
  • Health and safety performance data is made available, reviewed and used for accident prevention.
  • Staff and sub-contractors receive adequate information to enable them to carry out their duties with minimum risk to their health and safety.
  • Suitable Personal Protective Equipment is provided for staff who are exposed to health and safety risks that cannot be adequately controlled by other means.
  • Sufficient training and resources are provided to enable staff to undertake work without compromising their health and safety.
  • Plant and work equipment shall be of a safe design, regularly inspected and maintained.
  • Risks to health and safety arising from purchased products and services are effectively managed.
  • Continual self-regulation; involving health and safety inspections, management visits and internal audits is implemented.
  • Health and safety improvement objectives are set and reviewed for effectiveness.

This policy statement has the commitment of the Senior Management Team who will provide all necessary resources.

This policy statement is updated when necessary and is formally reviewed at least annually.
