Better control -+

Unlike many in the UK fire industry, we have our own exclusive manufacturing facilities in both the UK and Far East. This means we can respond to customer preferences and changes in demand with unrivalled speed and agility. It also means we have design flexibility and complete control of our supply chain – from sourcing our own high quality raw materials, through to manufacturing, boxing and shipping.

Better safety and performance +-

While we always ensure our pricing is as competitive as possible, our products are the best because we never compromise on safety and performance.

Take our foam extinguishers as an example the foam that we use is manufactured in the UK and shipped to our factory in China. It contains corrosion resistance inhibitors which may not be present in foam extinguishers from some competitors.

Our quality ratings include:

– ISO 9901:2008 approval

– Kitemark for the majority of the products we manufacture

– All of our new extinguishers are CE marked

Better environmental support +-

We are committed to keeping people safer in a cleaner, greener and more environmentally conscious world. We demonstrate this commitment in a number of ways, including:

– Reducing the number of new CO2 extinguishers entering the market through our industry-leading refurbishing programme, helping to reduce the overall carbon footprint.

– Collecting and disposing of old scrap extinguishers, ensuring their contents are dealt with in a safe manner and with the appropriate waste certification notes provided.

– Developing a new, multipurpose fire extinguisher range – our E-Series Water Mist – which is unique to the Jewel Fire Group and uses just pure water as the agent (with no additives) to extinguish many classes of fire.

Better service +-

To ensure we understand your requirements and your preferences, we assign a named, personal account manager to each and every customer. It is our job to keep you totally satisfied, all of the time. So that is exactly what we do.

Our history of achievement

2007

Jewel Fire Products is formed to sell fire extinguishers and ancillary products to the UK fire trade.

2008

Manufacturing base for fire extinguishers is established in China and Kitemark approvals from BSI are obtained.

2009

Nottingham’s Saffire Products Ltd is acquired and a new company – Jewel Saffire Products Ltd – formed, adding new CO2 production and refurbishing to our product range.

2011

Recognising the rising importance of environmental issues, a ground breaking new extinguisher range – E-Series Water Mist – is introduced. Using innovative, patented technology, the range can extinguish many different fire classes (including electrical and fat fires) using just pure water as the agent.

2012

E Series water mist extinguisher range receives approvals from LPCB and BSI Kitemarks.

2013

The company merges its two existing warehousing operations into one distribution and manufacturing site – in a 34, 000-square foot building in Rotherham – and invests to upgrade its refurbishing facilities for CO2 refurbished extinguishers.

2014

The company expands its operations to include the collection of scrap extinguishers, and introduces its Cash for Cans scheme to assist customers with the removal and disposal of scrap extinguishers in a safe and appropriate manner.

2015

The company expands its production of 2kg CO2 refurbished extinguishers and introduces the refurb premium range, consolidating its position as the UK’s market leader in the CO2 refurbishing sector.

2016

The company receives third party accreditation for the testing of the E Series water mist range after 6 months, 12 months and now 5 years, confirming that there is no legionella present in the extinguishers after discharge.

2017

The company continues to grow and completes the first part of a programme of achieving MED approvals on its Water, Powder, Foam and Wet Chemical products. MED approvals for CO2 and Water Mist products will follow early in the new year.

A new Operations and Maintenance Manager are appointed.

2018

The company is rebranded as the Jewel Fire Group with a refreshed identity, website and marketing collateral.
