Pressure Equipment Directive on all new extinguishers

The Pressure Equipment Directive or CE mark is a fundamental piece of European Legislation relating to the safety of pressure equipment throughout Europe. All of our extinguishers have the CE Mark.

The Maine Equipment Directive 96/98 EC is an approval for products than can be used specifically in the marine industry.

CNPP

35KV Electrical Conductivity testing

This approval body operates internationally and we have used their expertise to conduct di-electric testing on some of our water and foam based extinguishers to ensure electrical conductivity safety.

Legionella testing for Water Mist extinguishers

We have independent, third party certification that our groundbreaking, multipurpose low pressure E Series water mist extinguisher range is free from legionella.

This testing was commissioned after some end users expressed concerns about the presence of legionella in the fine water mist spray produced by the E Series range.

Working in partnership with specialists in legionella testing, Euro Environmental Ltd, our 1L, 3L and 6L E Series water mist extinguishers were tested.

The tests were conducted after 6 months, 12 months and finally after the 5-year discharge period – on all three occasions, the results of the tests proved that the water in the extinguishers was free from legionella.
